Tyrone Docherty

President, CEO & Secretary

Tyrone Docherty has worked in the financial and minerals markets for over 40 years. He was the former President & CEO of Quinto Mining Inc., where with limited resources in a difficult market he raised more than $30 million and advanced a Quebec iron ore property to a viable project. He sold Quinto to Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines in June 2008 for a share value equal to $175M (starting from $4M). Consolidated Thompson eventually sold to Cliffs Resources for $4.9B. From 2012 to 2018, Tyrone was Director and Chairman of Mason Graphite Inc. He is First Tellurium’s largest shareholder, and he continues to add to his holdings. Mr. Docherty and his family own approximately 15% of First Tellurium’s shares.

Frederick Jung, CPA, CFA

Director

Mr. Jung provides First Tellurium with 17 years of international finance experience and leadership for small to large publicly-listed companies across multiple industries. He currently serves as the CFO for Solar Flow-Through Funds, a solar energy and investment company which operates over 70 solar power generation projects in Ontario, where he managed and helped raise over $150 million in equity and debt financing. Mr. Jung began his career with KPMG, one of the “Big Four” international accounting firms.

Allen Schwabe

Director

Mr. Schwabe has been a successful entrepreneur in the Lower Mainland region for nearly 40 years. He has also held President and Director positions for various mining companies for the last 25 years, playing key roles in fundraising and property acquisitions.

Matt Wayrynen

Director

CEO of Solar Flow Through Funds, one of Ontario’s leading solar developers. Also president of Berkley Renewables Inc., a solar energy development company. Former CEO of Bralorne Gold Mines Ltd. Extensive venture capital experience and has successfully raised hundreds of millions of dollars for public and private ventures in Canada, the USA and Mexico.

Funsho Ojebuoboh, MBA, PhD

Consultant/Advisor

Through his distinguished career, Dr. Funsho Ojebuoboh worked with companies such as First Solar, where he assisted in the sourcing and delivery of critical raw materials, including tellurium, that were key to their manufacturing of solar panels. Over his seven-year relationship with First Solar, he provided guidance to stakeholders, including executive management, legal and finance for the review and approval of supply agreements. Dr. Ojebuoboh is a globally recognized author and lecturer on the refinement and practical application of rare metals for solar panels and semi-conductors, including tellurium. He is also a standing member of the Minor Metals Trade Association (MMTA), The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) and The Minerals, Metal and Materials Society (TMS).

Don Freschi, founder of Fenix Advanced Materials

Consultant/Advisor & Qualified Person

Mr. Freschi is an expert in ultra-high purity metals and semiconductor development. He is the founder of Fenix Advanced Materials Inc., a world leader in ultra-high purity metals including tellurium. In this role, he has focused on tellurium battery technology and formed a collaboration with the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus to develop and bring the battery to market. After years of research, and having pledged a million dollars of capital, the next generation tellurium lithium-ion battery project has had great success.

Paul Spry, M.Sc., Ph.D

Consultant/Advisor & Qualified Person

One of the world’s leading authorities on tellurium and tellurium deposits, Dr. Spry is a Professor of Economic Geology at Iowa State University’s Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences. He is a widely recognized expert on the genesis of ore deposits and metamorphosed ore deposits around the world and has coauthored more than 110 refereed papers in international journals. He has also written three books.

Dr. Lee Groat, B.Sc., Ph.D, P.Geo

Consultant/Advisor

Professor at Dept. of Earth and Ocean Sciences with University of British Columbia and former NATO Postdoctoral Fellow at Cambridge University. Areas of research include mineralogy, geochemistry and ore deposits.
